The security unit of the University of Abuja Saturday arrested and
paraded before the public two men who were part of an admission and
employment syndicate.
They had been allegedly defrauding unsuspected Nigerians by promising employment and admission into the university.
The Chief Security Officer (CSO) of the university, rtd. Col. Solomon
Ngbede who addressed newsmen while parading the suspects hinted that his
team had been on the trail of the suspects for over a year, adding that
their arrest was a result of a painstaking effort by the unit.
According to him, “The two suspects have been collecting various sum of
money from their victims and promising in return to secure admission,
employment opportunities to them.”
